Meowism

Meowism is a project dedicated to cats and all the catlovers in the world.

I take from my religious upbringing to explore the unconditional love we have towards cats. Even though we risk getting scratched, we still want to shower them with affection. Those who don’t understand see it as a toxic relationship.

Having painted cats repeatedly throughout the years, I used them to ultimately create a prayer shrine. Accompanied by a religious pamphlet that was passed out to the community, I used this project to explore and comment on the blind faith and rituals within all religions.
